Beaches

The beaches of BruceGreySimcoe, Ontario are a popular destination during the summer. If you're able, plan ahead and book ahead for a stay of a few days, a week or more to fully enjoy your beach getaway.  Less busy times at the beach tend to be mid-week, late spring or early fall. Staff at information centres across the region can help plan your visit.

Beach time is like no other and BruceGreySimcoe has beaches galore. Start dreaming and planning about dipping your toes in the water and putting your seat in the sand for an amazing beach experience.  From fun and lively at Wasaga Beach and Sauble Beach, to the calm and quiet and everything in between, there’s a waterfront oasis to suit your beachin’ style and mood.  No matter your activity – swim, sun, surf, paddle, veg or a mix of all of them all, we’ve got your beach needs covered.  Our shorelines are perfect for strolling and treasure hunting with sandy, rocky and pebbly terrains.

Cooling off is a breeze here in beach country with public beaches and beach accesses spread out across this region.  There’s nothing better on a hot summer’s day than a dip in the cool, crystal-clear waters of Georgian Bay, Lake Huron, Lake Simcoe or one of our smaller, inland lakes.  Create a sand sculpture, catch that perfect wave, spike a volleyball, do some yoga and end the day viewing a multi-hued sunset over the water.  Pack the sunscreen, hats, your book, the kids, the cooler, the towels, the beach umbrella, and the sand castle building tools for a full day of fun at the beach.

Beaching Tip: Check ahead before arriving at your beach destination for parking fees and local beach etiquette regarding sun shelters, barbecues on the beach and washrooms.
