Saugeen Valley Conservation Area

A number of trails wind throughout this 215 acre property, each displaying different habitats and attractions, perfect for birdng. From the Sulphur Spring trail, with its natural spring-fed stream system (remaining at a constant 49 degrees F.), to the upland hardwoods and the lowland fen, complete with carnivorous Pitcher Plants, this property can be enjoyed any time of the year. Although the trails are not necessarily groomed, frequent traffic makes them easy to traverse in the winter months.
